Take off was no problem. Small tweeks to stabilize the helicopter was easy. However, I had to make some more adjustments to gain the ability to fly forward. This was my biggest problem. It took some time of taking off, landing and make an adjustment. This was done 5 or 6 times. I finally got it though. Now this was on a calm day with minimal wind when there was some. It all came down to adjusting the swash plate too and trimming it out. So just take your time and play with it till you achieve what youre needing. I seen a review that wraps up what it is to fly these things. You have to remember.this is a hobby. Dont expect the helicopter to come straight out of the box and fly perfect. Making the adjustments is half the fun. Taking it apart is easy when making these adjustments. Dont be overwhelmed by how the helicopter looks. Everything will come apart and back together with ease. The only issue is that the remote is configured like the inexpensive coaxial choppers so I opened the transmitter and much to my surprise you can reconfigure the joy sticks in whatever style you prefer, I changed mine to a standard TYPE II that is used in the states for 6 channel choppers.

If you do this take the time to understand how it works, I spent about 1 hour trying to figure out how the mechanical parts worked. Each potentiometer has its own connecter so very easy to do the electrical part of it, I just started with the throttle and moved on from there. I would not suggest this mod unless you are mechanically inclined, it can be very confusing swapping the parts around to get what you want. Like the other comments the chopper does not want to go forward very good out of the box, just take off the servo horn and move the linkage to the hole furthest away from the servo and this will give you the extra travel you need to the swash plate. Don't forget to unwind the wire antenna so that you get good signal. Mine works fantastic and I am not crashing very much, handles the bumps pretty good just remember to shut down the throttle if you are about to crash. I am used to the Mini Co-axial types (dual prop) so this time around, I wanted an outdoor variety and after looking online and reading descriptions and reviews for about a week, I chose the DH9104. RC Toys Village - by far - has the best deals on all of their RC vehicles as well as on parts and batteries. I also ordered an extra battery because I had read that, while most RC's have Li-Po batteries, the DH9104 comes with Li-Ion and Li-Ion's (I've read) will only last 10 to 14 charges before they stop working altogether. According to numerous reviews (and modders), this Heli will operate on Li-Po 7.4v 2C variety batteries as long as they have the correct connectors - both are JST type if I'm not mistaking. Anyhow. RC Toys Village shipped the heli very fast, it was packed very well and it arrived in excellent condition. After initial charge (which took about 1hr 30min), I unplugged the heli, plugged in the spare battery, and took my new toy out for a spin. Initial flight was ok right out of the box. Later, I had to adjust the servo rod out to gain more forward momentum but that is one of the common issues with this model. I also extended the antenna wire for more range and was able to fly (estimate) 60-80ft away and 35-45ft high without any problems. I can't believe how east this model is to fly. And although I did have two fair crashes, the only damage was minor scratches on the nose and the Heli flew perfectly afterward. Cons: 1) The instructions do not mention anything about the small controller switches (3 out of 4 working) at the bottom and sides of the directional levers. This is a good intermediate RC Heli and worth the price! (I sure would NOT buy it for more!) Keep up the good work RC TOYS VILLAGE!!!:) NOW - as for Shuang Ma -- You people are a RIP OFF with this thing. So far, I have had to replace a tail motor because the original Burned pout after only a dozen short flights. Once I got a new tail unit, it flew fine for a few days.

Now, the Main Motor is going out and it will not fly over 4 minutes. The batteries are in excellent condition - I have tested them both (a 1300mah and a 1500mah) in another heli and they are still acting like new batteries. There are all kinds of adjustments that need to be made just to get it to fly right -- 1) Servo arm 2) Weight in the nose 3) Antenna needs extended 4) Trimmed Tail blades I am really sorry I didn't just spend my money on something else that was ready to fly and worked better without burning out parts every other week. Problems: Swash plate has no movement due to the ball links being in the forward position and not in the middle where in a rational world they would be which would give it way more foward and reverse movement. Hero RC and Amazon were great and gave me a full refund, got a Syma s33 and X1 to replace it, both at a fantastic price point. I would avoid this product, maybe a MJX F45 if you have to have a large single blade V911 is great but small. So you can understand why it would be difficult to control if you are constantly having to keep it from going where you don't want it to go. It does move pretty quickly though, I'll give it that.
